What is the Covid-19 testing service?
We’re now offering a private, rapid antigen testing service in our pharmacy in Longford.
Our rapid antigen test provides results in just 20 minutes, with no lab work required. You may need to take a test for work or if visiting an elderly relative whilst abiding by government guidelines, and wish to be informed and safe. Our rapid antigen is a safe, simple and especially quick way to test for a Covid-19 infection.
If you or anybody in your bubble have symptoms or think they may have Covid-19, we ask you to stay at home and not book an appointment in our pharmacy. If you have come in contact with a close contact, we also ask you not to book an appointment with us. How much does the test cost?
The rapid antigen test at Stakelum’s Pharmacy costs just €50.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment with us by calling us on (043) 334 2554. While we are taking a limited number of walk ins, we encourage you to ring ahead and book a slot to avoid delay at the pharmacy.
A member of our team will talk you through the testing process over the phone when you are booking your appointment. We will take some details from you and will also share some information with you and, with your permission, register you for Health Passport Europe. Once tested, we will contact you within 30 minutes with your test results.
What is Health Passport Europe?
Combining COVID-19 vaccinations and testing with secure digital technologies to provide a mobile Health Passport system, available to download in both the Apple App Store and the Android Play Store.
You now have immediate access to your personal COVID-19 status, which can choose to display or scan whenever appropriate. The system is built specifically to be compatible with all types of official COVID-19 vaccinations and tests. This includes PCR tests, blood tests and rapid diagnostic tests.
After testing and vaccinations, an authorised medical administrator updates your Health Passport. You can then immediately download your personal Health Passport mobile app for Apple and Android. Your COVID-19 status is automatically updated in real time and you can display this whenever necessary.
Your COVID-19 status is linked directly to your most recent test result or vaccinations. After vaccination or testing negatively for COVID-19, your status is automatically updated. Naturally, the validity of your test will expire over time, and your status will automatically update.

Remember to wear a face mask or covering and maintain social distancing whilst in store. You’ll need to remove your face mask or covering for the sample collection
